What is a "Podcast?"
A podcast is simply an audio file that is downloadable to a home computer, which then can be loaded on to any variety of portable .mp3 players. You don’t need a portableMP3 player (like an iPod) to take advantage of this. You can listen right from your PC or mac using a software program that accepts podcast feeds.

How do I subscribe to a Podcast?
Once you have the necessary software installed (such as the very popular iTunes from Apple; see link below), you'll need to find the option for subscribing to a podcast (in iTunes it is under the "Advanced" menu: Advanced --> Subscribe to Podcast). You can then right mouse-click on the particular podcast's icon and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link" or "Copy Link Location" depending on your browser. Paste the link into the "subscribe to podcast" window and click OK. Your software should display the listing and depending on which software you have, it may start to download the most recent program. Each software gives options for setting automatic or manual checking.
